O mountains of Gold
Luminous like the heavens
A story never told
The legions of doom
And the fires, immense
Charred the land to gloom
What was so bountiful
The rays of Gold
Made so sorrowful
O mountains of Gold
These bright skies made into twilight
Has evil doomed our hold?
Death and pain has thus sweltered
An end ever wrong is so drawn
Anger, ignorance thus made us fettered
O mountains of Gold
A story never told
Dusk so replaced the dawn
A great, old era now forever gone
The sky will become chilling
And the day will turn killing
As the day becomes night
And all falls to fright
The wind will sound its deathly howl
The blizzard shall capture in its cowl
All that is seen has begun to freeze
All that is felt is only a frigid breeze
Hope and strength, so profound
Only fallen made to be found
Yet come will the light
As will the warmth of might
It will shape one’s forced sadness
To be of new, loved soundness
The time is past when madness reigned
So too is hopes grip no longer feigned
A day bright in splendor
Where the wings of joy soar
The lush, rich land
Shown to be resilient and grand
A plentitude of growth
To prosperity and ruin, both
This time of repair
Made into hot despair
As embers prance
And fires dance
The sky, sweltering
A stage made unsettling
The oceans turn pale
And the gambits made so frail
Though, alike our hold
In our future told
Bounty shall rain
And retreats the torrid bane
As comes a respite
Of found delight
The groves painted
Has history granted
With a multitude of color
Does the world push beauty further
A brilliant dawning
Trapped in heralded shadowing
The honeyed leaves, now fallen
The great copses, shaken
As the gales, again turn icy
And the golden ground, rimy
A circle fated of the spool spun to now
This, the world’s timeless vow
A circle of death and renewal
Ever a quenched breath to duel
To become changed
Our golden skies made estranged
Frozen, to dire heat brazen
Cascades, to hewn fell blades
